Warranty and returns
At Systems4Gates your satisfaction comes first. This page sets out your warranty, your right to cancel and the procedure for returning a product or making a warranty claim. Our customer service team is at your disposal at info@systems4gates.com.
In short
- 14 days to change your mind and return your order (right to cancel).
- 2 years of legal conformity guarantee on every product.
- Commercial warranty: 2 years on products, 1 year on remote controls.
- Refund within 14 days of the return reaching us.
1. Right to cancel (14 days)
You have 14 calendar days from the day you receive your order to cancel it, without giving any reason and without penalty. This right comes from Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights within the European Union, and from the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 in the United Kingdom.
To exercise it, tell us your decision before the deadline expires by writing to info@systems4gates.com, quoting your order number. A clear statement is enough.
Once you have cancelled you then have 14 days to send the product back to us. It must be returned complete, in perfect condition, in its original packaging, with all its accessories and the instruction manual.
2. How to return a product
The procedure is straightforward:
- Step 1 — Send a return request to our customer service team at info@systems4gates.com, stating your order number and the reason for the return.
- Step 2 — We reply within 48 working hours with the instructions and the return address.
- Step 3 — Send the product back carefully packed, enclosing a copy of the invoice or the order confirmation.
We recommend using a tracked service: until it reaches our premises the product travels at your risk.
3. Return costs
Where you cancel or exchange a product for your own convenience, the return postage is at your expense. Where the product is faulty, not as described or the wrong item (different from the one ordered), Systems4Gates pays the return costs; the amount is refunded to you on presentation of the postage receipt.
4. Refunds
Once the return has reached us and been checked, we refund you within 14 days. The refund is made using the same payment method you used to buy, unless we agree otherwise. It covers the price of the product and, where you have cancelled, the original standard delivery charge (but not the extra cost of an express delivery option you chose).
If a product cannot be exchanged because it is out of stock or no longer manufactured, we refund it.
5. Your statutory rights
Customers in the European Union benefit from the two-year legal guarantee of conformity provided by EU law (Directive (EU) 2019/771). During that period, if the product does not conform to the contract, you are entitled to have it brought into conformity free of charge, by repair or replacement.
Customers in the United Kingdom have their statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015: goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and you may reject faulty goods within 30 days of delivery. Nothing on this page limits those rights.
These statutory rights apply independently of, and in addition to, the commercial warranty below.
6. Commercial warranty
Systems4Gates also offers a commercial warranty: 2 years on all products and 1 year on remote controls. It starts when the product is dispatched or made available, and covers the replacement or repair of parts with a manufacturing or material defect.
Making a claim: send your request to info@systems4gates.com, describing the fault precisely and attaching a copy of the purchase invoice. After examination, Systems4Gates decides whether the faulty equipment is repaired or replaced.
7. What the commercial warranty does not cover
- replacement of batteries and other consumables (the condition of supplied batteries is not grounds for a claim);
- abnormal or improper use, or use that does not follow the product’s instruction manual;
- faults appearing after work by a repairer not approved by the manufacturer, or after use the manufacturer does not recommend (professional or communal use, for example);
- damage caused by an external event: exposure to water, heat or sunlight, a fall, an impact or excessive pressure.
These exclusions do not affect your statutory rights.
8. Parcel damaged on delivery
Check the condition of the parcel before signing the delivery note. If the packaging is open, damaged or broken, check the contents and, if the product is damaged, refuse the parcel and write the reservation on the carrier’s document (for example: “parcel refused, opened / in poor condition”). Tell us as soon as possible at info@systems4gates.com so that we can deal with your claim.
