Terms and conditions of sale
1. General information
In accordance with article 10 of Spanish Law 34/2002 of 11 July on information society services and electronic commerce, we inform you that all the content of this website is the exclusive property of Systems4Gates.
AUTOMATISMOS GATES SPAIN SL
Address: Calle Príncipe de Vergara, 109, 2ª planta – 28002 Madrid (Spain)
CIF: B88429626
EU VAT number: ESB88429626
E-mail: info@systems4gates.com
2. Application of these terms
These terms of sale apply to every product offered on this website, even where a customer’s own general conditions state otherwise.
Systems4Gates may adapt and amend these terms at any time. Where they change, the terms in force on the day the order is placed are the ones that apply.
3. Product availability
Our promotions and our prices are always published on this website. Products are available while stocks last. The information on the site is given for guidance and may contain errors, which are corrected as they come to light.
4. Order confirmation and electronic signature
An order is confirmed:
– for an online card payment: on the day the order is placed;
– for a bank transfer: on the day the transfer reaches us.
No order is processed unless the customer has completed the fields marked as mandatory on the order form.
Each order request placed by the customer is irrevocable, within the limits set by these terms. An electronic signature has the same value as a signature on paper; it completes the process of authenticating, accepting and protecting the integrity of the requests made.
Promotional items: customers may receive free promotional samples in their parcels. We give one sample per person per order, and our customer service team does not deal with claims on this point.
5. Prices
Systems4Gates may update its prices at any time, but undertakes to apply the prices in force at the moment the order is placed.
Prices are shown in euros and exclude delivery charges. Delivery is free on orders over €160 to destinations within the European Union, Ireland included. Orders to the United Kingdom, the Gulf states and North Africa always carry the delivery charge shown at checkout. Where a price is displayed in another currency it is a conversion for guidance; the contract is concluded in euros.
Customers outside the European Union — including the United Kingdom, the Gulf states and North Africa — are the importer of record. Import VAT, customs duty, local taxes and any clearance charges of the destination country are payable by the customer and are not included in the price or in the delivery charge. Systems4Gates is not registered for VAT in the United Kingdom and, for that reason, does not accept UK orders below £135 in value.
Within the European Union, prices include VAT at the rate of the destination country. Business customers with a valid EU VAT number may be invoiced without VAT under the reverse charge.
6. Orders and payment methods
Two payment methods are available:
Payment by card. Secure payment: card numbers are protected by SSL (Secure Socket Layer) and are never visible on the internet. Payment is made directly with the bank. Systems4Gates has no access to this information at any point and does not keep it on its server, so customers must enter it again for each order.
Payment by bank transfer. The order is registered and held for at least 7 days. If the transfer has not reached Systems4Gates after 7 days, the order is cancelled. The order is only processed once the transfer has been received.
7. Dispatch and delivery
The product ordered is sent by carrier to the address given by the customer when ordering. We tell the customer the expected times at the moment of dispatch.
Typical times:
– 2 to 5 working days within the European Union and the United Kingdom;
– 4 to 5 working days for the Gulf states and North Africa.
Outside the European Union these times do not include clearance by the customs authorities of the destination country, which is outside our control.
Because deliveries are made by a courier company, Systems4Gates cannot guarantee a precise delivery date. If a delivery is late, the customer may contact Systems4Gates, who will take the matter up with the courier to establish the position and follow up the claim.
On delivery, we ask customers to check the contents of the parcel before signing the carrier’s document. Any incident (damaged product and so on) must be noted on that document. The check may be carried out by the customer or by any authorised person.
Within 3 days of delivery the customer must also write to the carrier, with proof of receipt, to report any problem, and send a copy to:
Systems4Gates
Calle Príncipe de Vergara, 109, 2ª planta – 28002 Madrid (Spain)
CIF: B88429626
E-mail: info@systems4gates.com
If you need to send products back, you must request a return from our customer service team:
– within 14 days of delivery if the product is not suitable;
– within 15 days of delivery if the goods are faulty, or if the product sent is not the one ordered, having noted your reservations on delivery and confirmed that the product was faulty.
If the product is not suitable, or is not the one ordered, it can only be exchanged if it comes back in perfect condition (original packaging, accessories, manual and so on).
If the packaging is damaged, broken or open on delivery, check the condition of the product. If the product is damaged, refuse the parcel and note it on the document to be signed at the point of delivery (for example: “parcel refused, opened / in poor condition”).
8. Liability
Systems4Gates accepts no liability in cases of force majeure (a full or partial strike of courier or transport services, natural disasters such as floods or fires and so on) that make performance of the contract impossible. On purchases made by businesses, Systems4Gates accepts no liability for insolvency or loss of profit. The customer alone is responsible for their choice of product. If the products bought cannot be used, or can only partly be used, or are not compatible, Systems4Gates cannot be held responsible and will neither compensate nor refund the customer, unless the product has a verifiable defect, does not conform or is faulty. In that case the customer may cancel as set out in article 9.
If a product or part of a product is not delivered as expected, the customer has a maximum of 3 months from the moment the product leaves our warehouse to raise it. No claim is accepted after that.
9. Right to cancel
Consumers have 14 calendar days from the date the product is delivered to return an item that is not suitable and request an exchange or a refund, without penalty. Only the direct cost of sending the product back remains at their expense. This right comes from Directive 2011/83/EU within the European Union and from the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 in the United Kingdom.
The product must be sent back in perfect condition, in its original packaging, with all its accessories where applicable. Otherwise the customer loses the right to return it and the product is sent back to them at their expense.
Return costs where you cancel: these are at the customer’s expense.
How the refund is made: once the returned product has reached us and been accepted, Systems4Gates refunds the customer by bank transfer. To let us handle the request properly, please enclose a copy of the invoice.
10. Undelivered parcels (gone away / not collected / refused)
If the customer’s parcel is returned to Systems4Gates by the courier marked “gone away” or “not collected within the period allowed”, Systems4Gates contacts the customer once the parcel is back to find out what they would like to do. The customer may then:
– ask for the parcel to be sent again, paying 8 euros for the new dispatch. The same applies to products sent free of charge, that offer being valid only once;
– ask for a refund: Systems4Gates then refunds the price of the undelivered product, less 10 euros to cover the cost of sending the first parcel and checking the returned goods. The refund is made by bank transfer.
If the parcel is returned by the courier because it was “refused by the recipient on delivery”, Systems4Gates contacts the customer once the parcel is back:
– if the customer refused the parcel because they were not satisfied (product damaged or different from the one ordered), Systems4Gates sends out the correct order;
– if the customer refused the parcel by mistake, they may ask for it to be sent again for 8 euros of postage. The same applies to parcels sent free of charge, that free-delivery offer being valid only once per dispatch.
11. Exchanges
Although choosing and buying a product is the customer’s own responsibility, an exchange may be made within 30 days of the date of dispatch.
However, if the customer cannot use the product bought — because the equipment they already own is not compatible, for example — they cannot require Systems4Gates to compensate them or cancel the purchase once the period for cancellation has passed.
Where an order has been placed in error: customers who have chosen the wrong item are invited to ask Systems4Gates for advice so as to avoid a second mistake. The exchange may be made within 30 days of the date the equipment was dispatched. The customer must first tell Systems4Gates about the error by e-mail to info@systems4gates.com.
If Systems4Gates has not replied within 48 working hours, the customer returns the product by post, enclosing the document signed when the parcel was received. The goods must be in good condition and in their original packaging.
If the product cannot be exchanged because it is no longer manufactured or is out of stock, the customer is refunded — the sum refunded being the price of the product plus the transport costs where a courier invoice is produced. Minimum amount refunded: 10 euros.
12. Warranty
All products carry a two-year warranty, except remote controls, which carry one year. The warranty covers only the replacement of faulty parts; it does not cover items that have been damaged, dropped or subjected to excessive pressure. It runs from the dispatch of the product or from the moment it is made available to the customer.
The warranty covers manufacturing or material defects, but not:
– replacement of batteries or other consumables;
– abnormal or improper use of the products (we recommend reading the instructions supplied with the product description carefully);
– faults appearing and persisting after work by a repairer not approved by the manufacturer, or after the product has been used in a way the manufacturer does not recommend (professional or communal use and so on);
– faults arising from an external event, for example where the product is exposed to water, heat or sunlight, or is not used as intended.
Systems4Gates accepts no liability where a product sent does not comply with the legislation in force in the country of delivery.
Condition of the batteries supplied with products sold by Systems4Gates: the condition of the batteries is not grounds for any claim, as the warranty does not cover it. Batteries are at the customer’s expense.
This commercial warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, the statutory rights of consumers in the European Union under Directive (EU) 2019/771 or in the United Kingdom under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
13. Returns under warranty
Systems4Gates accepts returns of equipment on the following conditions. The customer must send a return authorisation request to the Systems4Gates customer service team at info@systems4gates.com.
If Systems4Gates has not replied within 48 working hours, the customer returns the goods, which must be in perfect condition, contain all the accessories where applicable and be in their original packaging. Every return must be accompanied by a copy of the original purchase invoice. Only returns on which the postage has been paid are accepted.
Where a customer returns a faulty item, they must set out the precise and detailed reasons for the return. Systems4Gates then decides whether the warranty covers:
– replacement of the faulty equipment;
– repair of the faulty equipment by Systems4Gates.
14. Personal data
In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), the Spanish data protection legislation in force and, where applicable, the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, customers and users are informed that the personal data appearing on this website is processed under the responsibility of Systems4Gates, whose registered office is at:

Personal data is used and processed only in the context of the services requested, the resolution of problems and replies to suggestions and comments received through this website. It is used to send information about our new products or services, our activities or news that may interest customers and users, where that relates to the services and information requested.
Systems4Gates e-mails or newsletters containing only commercial or promotional information are identified by the word “advertising”.
Customers and users are solely responsible for the accuracy of the data they send to Systems4Gates, and warrant that they have the prior agreement of any third parties named.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
This contract is governed by Spanish law. The parties acknowledge that the courts of Madrid have sole jurisdiction over any dispute, difference or claim arising directly from the interpretation and performance of this contract, or directly or indirectly connected with it. This does not deprive a consumer of the protection given by the mandatory rules of the law of the country where they habitually reside. Consumers in the European Union may also use the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net), which gives free advice and assistance on cross-border purchases: www.eccnet.eu. Systems4Gates is not signed up to any consumer mediation or alternative dispute resolution scheme. The European online dispute resolution (ODR) platform permanently ceased operating on 20 July 2025 under Regulation (EU) 2024/3228 and can no longer be used.
